Murrow News Fellowship

Fellow Application

Blue markers designate fellows soon to be in place; green markers reflect host organizations fellows will report for before summer ends.

By end of summer, 16 Murrow News Fellows, including the inaugural cohort, are expected to be in the field, focused on civic affairs in underserved Washington communities. Their beats range from voting and water rights to housing and economic policies. Two more fellows begin their two-year stints in July, and a third in August. The remaining fellows will be placed with host news organizations selected in June for their plans to deepen citizens’ understanding of complex community issues and policies.
